Badboy is the pickup name of Danijel Nesek, a Croatian lifestyle and dating coach from Zagreb and one of the best known European pickup artists of the Mystery Method era. Through his brand Badboy Lifestyle he has taught men from around the world for more than fifteen years - on confidence, meeting women, seduction, starting and keeping relationships, break-ups and life goals.

Badboy was one of the early members of Mystery's Lounge, the private forum where many of the best known pickup artists of the 2000s posted, and he appears in Neil Strauss's bestseller The Game, where Strauss describes students flying to Zagreb to learn from him how to become an alpha male. He has said he was twice voted the world's best pickup artist. Badboy started out with the Mystery Method but later moved to a direct style and has described himself as the "father" of the Direct Method - an approach in which a man openly shows his interest instead of hiding it behind routines.

He was among the first to offer dating coaching in Europe: students flew to Croatia from all over the continent, and for several years he ran large summer bootcamps on the Croatian coast, including on the island of Pag, combining field training with holidays. Over time Badboy Lifestyle grew into a business offering seminars, workshops, newsletters and individual coaching in Zagreb and abroad, and he has appeared as a panelist at relationship conferences in Croatia. He claims more than 50,000 satisfied clients.

Badboy's message is that "bad boys" attract women not because they are cruel, but because they live life on their own terms: they know what they want, are confident and sexually expressive, have firm personal rules, are passionate and independent, control their emotions and do not seek approval. Good guys, he argues, often lose on the emotional level because they are predictable and easy to control - and a man can learn the attractive traits of the bad boy while remaining honest and respectful.

Note: In older English-language sources Badboy's real name is sometimes misspelled; Croatian media give it as Danijel Nesek. Stories about the origin of his limp also differ between sources.
